January 2014

January has been a busy month and we have lots of projects in progress and on the drawing board.

The year started completing a large planting design commissioned by clients in Hertfordshire for their beautiful period cottage. The scheme focuses on textural contrast and uses only white flowering plants. Plans are underway to implement the new planting this spring.

Projects in Beaconsfield and Snaresbrook are being completed with planting planned to follow in the next few weeks (weather permitting!).

Two gardens have gone to tender this month, a large entertaining family garden in East Sheen and a modern garden with bespoke pergola and water feature in Upper Leytonstone East London. We have also completed design details for a lovely barn, front courtyard garden in Herts and hope to move to tender soon.

We have been appointed to design two new gardens in Wimbledon and Woodford Green, the first a garden space to complement a newly designed extension by Mustard architects, we’re also working with Mustard to incorporate a bespoke studio into the garden design. In Woodford a small family garden with tricky levels requires a new design to better incorporate level changes and space for all the family.

Tender was recently accepted on a funky new garden design construction for a couple in East London that includes bespoke details and reclaimed materials, we’re looking forward to the build which is scheduled to start this week.

To complete the month we attended The Society of Garden Designers SGD Awards 2014 to celebrate being selected as a finalist in the Future Designer category for our project Dovecote Barn.
